thread-times.stp - Profile Kernel Functions The thread-times.stp script sets up time-based sampling. Every five seconds it prints out a sorted list with the top twenty threads occupying the CPUs, broken down as a percentage of user and kernel time. $ stap thread-times.stp -T 5 comm tid %user %kernel (of 8004 ticks) eu-readelf 22304 49.86% 0.09% swapper/0 0 0.00% 49.77% bash 9635 0.01% 0.03% sshd 9634 0.01% 0.02% bash 23434 0.00% 0.02% bash 23431 0.00% 0.01% ls 23421 0.01% 0.00% bash 23428 0.00% 0.01% ls 23427 0.00% 0.01% bash 23425 0.00% 0.01% ls 23424 0.01% 0.00% bash 23420 0.00% 0.01% stapio 23417 0.00% 0.01% bash 23422 0.00% 0.01% ls 23433 0.00% 0.01% ls 23430 0.01% 0.00% ls 23418 0.01% 0.00%
